This article will guide you on how to create, send, and review routes for your drivers using Trucker Path Command.
Step 1: Navigate to the Maps tab to view an overview of the entire US and each driver's location.
Step 2: On the left side of the screen, start creating a new route or view previously completed trips.
Step 3: Click on a trip to pull up an overview of the route taken by a specific driver.
Step 4: Adjust the mapping layer in the upper right corner.
Step 5: View created loads or create drivers available in their current location.
Step 6: Adjust the map type to view a hybrid overview of the map, a road map, or a satellite view.
Step 7: View weather alerts to stay informed about inclement weather conditions your drivers may encounter
Step 8: To create a new route, select the Routing profile at the top. Choose the specific size of the vehicle for the route. The route will follow the dimensions defined within that specific truck. Add new routing profiles by clicking Add Routing Profile at the bottom of the dropdown.
Step 9: Adjust the route settings to avoid tolls, tunnels, harsh U turns, unpaved roads, and ferries. Set the fuel settings for the specific truck.
Step 10: Search for a starting location for the driver.
Step 11: Add the rest of your stops. The screen will generate the route based on the stops you've selected.
Step 12: At each stop, click the arrow on the right side to change the stop type, set the dwell time, or an appointment time. Add additional notes for the driver.
Step 13: If you prefer the driver to go a different direction, choose one of the specific route settings or pre-generated route options. The selected route will highlight in blue.
Step 14: To get more specific, click and drag the route to add a waypoint.
Step 15: Right-click on the map to change the pickup point, drop off point, add another waypoint or avoid area. Apply changes to regenerate the route. The route details will update on the left side of the screen.
Step 16: View turn by turn directions and all trucker paths points of interest along the route.
Step 17: Adjust the filter at the top of the screen to add specific points of interest to the trip.
Step 18: View weather alerts specific for this route.
Step 19: Attach documents for the driver in the Documents tab.
Step 20: Add a fuel plan to the route to save on fuel costs. Select a specific network of truck stops and enter the start tank, tank capacity, miles per gallon, and minimum fill-up amount. Trucker Path will search for the most efficient places for the driver to stop and fuel up.
Step 21: Click Apply to Trip to add the fuel stops to the driver's route.
Step 22: Save the route for future reference by clicking the Save button, or send it by clicking on
Send Route. A list of all available drivers will display. Send the driver a text message with a link to the route or an in-app message.
